What is Microneedling with PRP?
Microneedling with PRP, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is an FDA-approved procedure for skin enhancement. During this procedure, Donna, our skilled esthetician, moves a microneedling device over the target area, creating microscopic needle punctures on the skin’s surface. These tiny micro-wounds then stimulate natural skin rejuvenation as the body triggers the healing process, creating more collagen and elastin in the process. With the PRP add-on, Dr. Buck applies PRP to these micro-wounds after she uses the device to prick the skin, catalyzing the healing process with the high density of platelets around the micro-injuries. The PRP is made before the procedure is initiated by drawing a blood sample and spinning it in a centrifuge.
